| 抄録別表記: | Visiting care has been provided continously by the Public Health Nursing Department of St. Luke's International Hospital for the past fifty years or so. The care of the patient at home, which is indispensable to comprehensive nursing care, must be carefully coordinated with clinical nursing in the hospital so as to achieve continuity of quality care. In this paper we tried to discern, through close analysis of a survey conducted on one hundred nurses by means of interview based on a questionnaire, the nursing staff's (with the exception of the supervisor, the head nurse and the assistant head nurse) understanding of visiting care at St. Luke's Hospital. To ensure further improvemrnt, the result of the survey was examined. The content of the visiting care application from as well as the actual care provided was analyzed. The follwing are conslusions of the study 1) More than half of the nursing staff don't thoroughly understand the concept of visiting care provided by this hospital.2) The basis of judgement for the need of visiting care should be considered.3) Further improvements should be made on the application form for visiting care.4) Further improvemwnts should be made on the follow-up report on the patient applying for visiting care as well as on the manner of exchanging information on the patient.5) How the nurse should be involved with the patient's discharge program needs to be examined. |
