| 抄録別表記: | A research survey was done to investigate the life and work history of the graduates of St.Luke's College of Nursing. The first analysis was published in the Bulletin of St.Luke's Cllege of Nursing, No.10 1984. This second analysis has as its focus the work history of the graduates. 1.Cumulative working rate decreases gradually from 95.1% in the year of the graduation to 63.2% in the 6th year after graduation. The rate stays stable after the 7th year after graduation. 2.Only the recent graduates show a sudden decrease of working rate between the 4th year and the 5th year after graduation. 3.Working rate reaches its bottom between the 6th year and 12th year after graduation. 4.The lowest working rate varies for each class. 5.In comparison with the working area of 10 years ago, those who in their 6th to 8th year after graduation now work less in the area of education, and those who are in their 1st to 4th year after graduation work more in the area of public health. 6.Most of the graduates choose hospital work for the first job, whereas public health and education are chosen for the second or third job after graduation. 7.Among the average length of emplyoment for national, prefectural and private institutions, the longest was that for prefectural institution. 8.Among the average length of employment for hospital, public health and education, the longest was that for education. 9.The largest percentage of graduates get married in their 2nd year after graduation. 10.The biggest reason for the change of job is reasons related to personal life rather than orders from superior or seeking of professional growth. 11.Those who assign higher scores concerning the item of "contribution for the development of the profession" have a higher rate of changing job by order of superior. 12.Those who assign higher scores concerning the item of "family ideology" have lower rate of changing job for the reasons related to personal reasons. |
