| 抄録: | 研究の目的は,公に出版された闘病記に表現されている病いを物語るきっかけをとりまく状況を明らかに
することである｡
対象となる闘病記は,都内S看護大学図書館の闘病記226冊から選出した56冊である｡
研究の方法は闘病記の文中から書くきっかけに関する内容を抽出し,5W1H (【いつ】【誰が】【どこで】
【何を】【なぜ】【どのように】)の観点で分析した内容を類型化した｡
結果および考察:1.闘病記著者の性別,年齢,職業,病いの種類はさまざまであり,執筆には家族や友
人･知人,仕事の仲間,医療関係職など多くの人が関与していた｡著者にとって人の存在を前提とし語るこ
とが,自分を見つめ直す営みとなっていた｡2.闘病記を書くきっかけをとりまく状況の｢時｣は暦と病い
に関するリアリティのある一回性の｢時｣であり,書くきっかけの｢人｣は家族,友人,同僚,仕事の先輩
など特定な｢人｣であり,書くきっかけの｢場｣は病院,自宅など生活している｢場｣であった｡日常･非
日常を問わず生活を続ける著者の姿が示された｡書くきっかけを｢事象｣｢目的｣｢状況｣から検討した結果,
《本人に働きかける｢人｣の存在≫《自分自身をみつめること》《看護師･医師や記者など職業人のプロとし
て》《死の意識に向けられたこと≫《残したい｢人｣の存在》《生きた証･存在の意味として》《世に訴えた
いこと･問いたいこと》《ワープロという｢物｣の存在》《告知や取材,講演など｢事象｣の存在≫《同病者
に向けられたこと》などの16カテゴリーが見出された｡これらのきっかけが多様な形で重層的,複合的に起
こった結果として著者は書くという行為に至っていることが推察された｡今後書くきっかけの｢時｣｢人｣
｢場｣と16カテゴリーをつなぐ,著者個人の存在を示す何ものかを探ることが次の課題として残された｡ |
| 抄録別表記: | The purpose of this study is to identity conditions surrounding clues contained in narratives of illness in
published autobiographical documents.
Texts by 56 subjects, who wrote and published autobiographical documents of illness, were selected from 226
autobiographical documents in a college of nursing library in Tokyo.
The analysis procedure which the researcher used was to perform a content analysis on the selected documents
looking for clues as to when, who, where, what, why and how the writers presented and represented their illnesses.
The sex, age, occupation, and type of illness of the authors varied, as did the number and type of other individuals
(such as family members, friends, associates, and medical staff) who encouraged and enabled the writer to write.
For the writers, the urge to narrate was an opportunity both to communicate their thoughts and feelings to their
selected audiences and to reflect on their situation.
The time frames (when) of the narratives were naturalistic in that descriptions of specific significant instances
of illnesses were combined with the march of chronological time. Clues to numerous of illnesses other people (who)
were deducted from the texts, e. g., family members, friends, associates, medical personnel, and colleagues. The
location (where) of the narratives were the places the authors were conducting their daily lives, most commonly
their homes or hospitals.
Purposeful matters, such as the narratives' subject matter (what), purposes (why), and situations (how) resisted
standard content analysis. Instead data for all three were collected and organized into the 16 categories including:
1 responses to the person(s) who encouraged and enabled the writer, 2 introspection, 3 reflections on the writer's
own career as a health care professional, 4 consciousness of death, 5 audience the text is written for, 6 awareness
of writers as living beings, 7 appeal and inquiry to a larger world, 8 the technology of writing such as word
processors, 9 truth-telling in the disclosure of illness, lectures, and other situations, and 10 relation to fellow
sufferers. These 16 categories combine and recombine in various in ways in shaping the writers' decisions to write
and decisions about what to and not to include in their texts.
Further research will be needed to determine how matters of time, person, and place relate to the 16 purposeful
clues in narratives of illness. |
