| 抄録別表記: | Uterine myoma (M) and endometriosis (E) often show so much resemblance of clinical symptoms to each other that they can be differentiated from one another without effort. The chief complaints, ages and gestational histories of 645 laparotomized cases who were diagnosed histologically as M, EM or both were investigated. EM was divided into internal, external and combined endometriosis (IE, EE and IE+EE). Each division was further subdivided into whether myoma was associated with or not (A+M or A, E+M or E, A+E+M or A+E). 1) Frequency:In 1242 gynecological laparotomized cases 392 (14.8%) of M and 257 (20.7%) of EM were found. The series of 257 cases of EM was composed of 163 (63.4%) of IE, 56 (21.8%) of EM and 38 (14.8%) of IE+EE. The frequency rate of EM associated with M was 40.9% and the rate of M associated with EM was 20.9%. 2) chief complaints:M showed higher rates of hypermenorrhea, atypical uterine bleeding and lower abdominal pain than EM. EM showed relatively hygher rates of dysmenorrhea and lower backache. 3) Age:44% of E was operated in the 3rd decade and 87% before 40 years of age. Most of M were operated during the age of 30 to 49 years and about half of them in the 5th decade. 4) Gestational history:The nulligravidous rates of M and E were 13.4% and 29.6% respectively, while that of A was very low or 2.6%. |
